The silent majority

Imagine walking into a beautiful house, old enough to have character, architecturally pleasing and tastefully furnished. In the hall, on the large woven rug covering the dark oak floorboards, sits a fresh turd. I think its clear what the defining feature of the experience will be: not the handsome cut stone fireplace, but the happy brown log staring up at you from the Persian.

I think most of life is like this.

  1. Have you recently encountered a life-turd? Or were you just being philosophical?

  2. I was thinking about how it only takes a few very vocal people to make a whole country seem like it is full of ranting cultists.
